Node: Repetitive Learning Reminder
Location: Plane to Oman from Delhi.
Repetition in learning is unbelievably valuable for learning some topics. I'm improving my Italian right now with Paul Noble's beginner Italian course as an Audible audiobook. The repetition really sticks with you, in how effective it is.
There are "best repetition timeframes" which can be used to setup alerts for when to review something so it sticks forever, or a really long time. Improving recall, too.
  • A node could be built to convert an input of a piece of information,
  • Possibly expand it into a longer form of content,
  • Compress it into a standard piece of content, easy to read, compressed,
  • Timeframes can be suggested for the type of content, (could be a separate node)
  • Timer formats can be returned, (calendar, cron, alert, for SMS text, daily email, etc)
I want to remember "piutarde" means "later" in Italian. I want to remember "adesso" means "now" in Italian. I want to remember that in Rust, the garbage collector lifetimes are logical hints for the compiler. I want to remember that in Rust, the standard regex does not permit overlapping matches. Only remind me over the next week.
These can also stack, and a possible stack node can be used to combine them into easy-to-co-digest formats - as we don't want to over-burden an individual to be looking over 129 things a day.
Sincerely, thanks for reading!
